Come join us for the Yuma County Science Fair!!
Arizona Western College will host the annual Yuma County Science Fair that takes place on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st in the College’s gym. This is the College’s seventh year to host the Science Fair and students participating will be from local schools throughout Yuma County.
Over 400 students will be participating this year and will present 350 projects in seven categories. The categories include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Zoology, Botany, Engineering and Technology, Health, Medicine and Microbiology, and Physics.
Judging begins in the mornings, but the public and parents are invited to attend the Fair after 2:00 on Friday and after 11:30 am on Saturday. Projects will be judged based on scientific thought, skill, thoroughness, creative ability, and presentation. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places in each of the seven categories.

Mark Your Calendars!!!
May 6th will mark the 35th Annual Cooperative Education Employer Appreciation Luncheon which will be held in the Scheoning Conference Room on the AWC Main Campus.
This luncheon is put on by all the dedicated teachers and students who participate in the Cooperative Education Program at Yuma Union High School District to thank all those employers who have taken time out of thier busy schedules to train our students to be productive members of society.
